I figured out how to add my public wiki site (this site) to the neighborhood of a wiki site running on my personal computer.
First, I opened the local site in a new browser window on my computer. Next, I added a new factory to the Welcome Vistors page. I opened another browser window and opened this site. Finally, I dragged and dropped the URL onto the factory on the Welcome page of the local site.
The result is a link to my public site that includes the site flag and a paragraph summary of the page. The sitemap from the public site is automatically merged with the sitemap of my local site.
What is the benefit? All changes I make to the public site automatically appear in Recent Changes merging the local pages and the public pages. Further, any searches that I do locally will also search across any of my public pages.
