Chrome OS Version 75

The Stable channel has been updated to 75.0.3770.102 (Platform version: 12105.75.0) for most Chrome OS devices. page

You’ll also get Chrome’s version of “reader mode”: When browsing a site, this removes everything but text and images so you can focus on the content. To use it, you might first need to flip the switch at chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode. About Chromebooks

I've enabled this flag and see the Distill Page option in the Chrome menu. I don't find this to be a particularly descriptive name.

When it [Chrome OS 75] does finally appear for Chromebooks, you’ll likely see what I think is a great new feature: Installing an Android cloud storage app will cause that storage to appear in the native Chrome OS Files app as a mounted drive. About Chromebooks

I've tested the above by installing the OneDrive Android app on the Pixelbook, after which I observed that OneDrive is indeed now an option in the Files app.

After upgrade to Chrome OS 75 the Linux apps backup and restore may not be available. You may need to re-enable the flag chrome://flags/#crostini-backup

I am running Standard Notes from my Crostini folder that is distributed as an AppImage . Prior to this release of Chrome OS I could not use Standard Note's internal update process, but I observe that after upgrade to this release of Chrome OS I can update the app using its own update process. The only problem has to do with the application icon, which I had to change in the desktop file.

Chrome OS 75 was released for the Google Pixelbook the evening of June 28, 2019 and I have installed it. Backup and restore options are still available, however Bluetooth does not appear to be working with mice. I can no longer connect my Logitech mouse to the Pixelbook.

I've tried disabling the re-enabling the Newblue flag and that doesn't appear to make a difference.

Kevin Tofel reports on 2019-07-03 that stable channel rollout of Chrome OS 75 has been stopped. He points to the bug reports on the Chromium issues site. site I don't see my Bluetooth issue captured.

The rollout of Chrome OS 75 has resumed. My Pixelbook was upgraded from 75.0.3770.102 to 75.0.3770.129 .

My Pixelbook still cannot see Bluetooth mice. Google recommended a Powerwash, which fully resets the Pixelbook. With Crostini in use I am reluctant to do that than with prior Chromebooks.
