Kevin Tofel at AboutChromebooks.com reports that the Dev channel for ChromeOS Version 87 got two significant features over the weekend: LaCrOS, which is the separation of the Chrome browser from Chrome OS and Nearby Sharing. site
Of the two features, I look forward to Nearby Sharing as it will make it easier for me to share files and other items directly between my phones running Android and my computers running Chrome OS.
LaCrOS appears to be in place to enable Google to more frequently push updates just necessary for the browser rather than waiting for the full OS release.
